That wasn’t me was it? One of the first drops I ever did. How tight is that place? That stupid verge opposite doesn’t help, nor did the fact that some Charlie has left his unit on the skunt.
Every time I was on the verge of getting in some shunter or other would sit there revving the knackers off his motor, just to get me sweating anymore.
I think the lads in the waiting room had been watching and having a good old laugh, but when I told them it was my first week on the job, they actually became quite complimentary.
Typical MAN auto reversing, the older they get the worse they are, some of our 11 plates you barely touch the throttle and bang they lurch like you’ve stood hard on the throttle pedal
