Hi Dave I,ve see most of the local tipper operators use Bulkrite bodies , which I think are made locally to you. Do you Know why ? are they light, well maid or cheap. I like the look of them and I,m not over happy with PPG bodies that i’ve used the last couple of times. There are couple of hauliers that I know have got them through second hand purchases with a mixed response.

Hi Big Bear,
Bulkrite are based at Dorrington near Shrewsbury, they are good bodies, as you have noticed most of the operators this way have got them. Some of the hauliers wouldn’t have them unless they were good and reasonably priced. I can sound a couple of them out for feedback if it’s any help. Some of these have had PPG and others in the past.
Cheers Dave.

Thanks Dave, the PPG is a good body but when you get a problem you get a stoney silence from the factory.
We,ve tried them all over the years, recently Wilcox have become popular again in our area but the last one we had should have been called Wilcracks.

Hi Big Bear,
Just had a word with one of the main operators out of these quarries about Bulkrite. He says that they are a little dearer, but the back crossmember is much stronger than some of the others you mention, you don’t get so much cracking etc,and he’s very pleased with themm. They don’t just make bodies they repair them alter them, extend them for whatever purpose. You also speak to the Boss there, not a salesman. They are in the process of setting up a website,at the moment,it only has contact detalis. I will PM the details.
Cheers Dave.
