Dave the Renegade:
Richard Bullock in C W Griffiths oldest lorry, leaving the Strinds quarry with another load.
What a stunning example of a Version 1Fm , Here in Irelad the FM12 380 in an 8 legger was a rare beast. Many believe that they were a better truck than the Version2 Fm.
Think I may go shopping in Wales when I replace my current mount
Unusual to see a window on the drivers side of the bunk also
Keep up the great work Dave
Cheers
John

Hi Dave why is he going back to day cabs because the sleepers donāt weigh much and not that expensive plus the added benefits of the night heater and re-sale value.

THey donāt need sleepers as they donāt have nights away and to keep the weight down.I think they still have night heaters. Will ask Paul when I speak to him,he reads the thread,so he will explain when I see him.
Cheers Dave.

Hi John,
Spoke to Paul today since I posted the first reply, reason he doesnāt bother with the sleepers is that they are different on the newer oneās,also weight and cost savings, plus the working time directive means they donāt need them, all the lorries have night heaters.
Cheers Dave.
Dave the Renegade:
Here you are Steve, the best pic of any of C W Griffiths lorries in my opinion.
That certainly is a nice wagon ā nicely posed shot too -
The T45 cab is great ā although iām not really a fan of the wider versions!
Dave the Renegade:
Paul Griffiths G cabbed Clydesdale, for Steve the Fryske.
Cheers for that Dave - very nice indeed ā pity there are not more of these G cabbed wagons out at rallies etc ā perhaps they are not āspecialā enough for most people?

Hi Steve,
Paul does take it to Kington vintage show when he has time, last time I saw it,the lorry looked like nrw,he doesnāt keep anything that looks rough.
Cheers Dave.

Afon Williams with Ivor Dugganās eight wheeler Foden, seen on the A44 Kington bypass.
Dave,
Proper greedy boards!
Cheers Malc.
Hi Malc,
Ivor delivers a lot of roots through the winter months, fodder beet etc.He puts the greedy boards on the eight and one of the six wheelers.Afon is loaded with lime in the pic,but they are still hauling roots as well.
Cheers Dave.
Hi Harry,
We got plenty in our own garden. Fair play she doesnāt mind taking pics of lorries,a lot of women would refuse to do it.She very often says thats not worth taking a picture of,itās only a little one.I say itās a six wheeler, you wouldnāt want it over your toeās.
Cheers Dave.
