hi dave, on my way up to london to-day on the M3 saw a couple of GOUGHS scania artic tippers heading towards the M25, a bit of patch?,smart blue motors though!..chris

Hi Chris,
Those lorries are out most of the week on bulk haulage. I did see one coming into the Strinds quarry late yesterday afternoon to load, they are often down the London area,I think they haul animal feed back to Carmarthen and other places.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Joe,
It’s the old registration for Radnorshire, the FO nunber ran until about 1959 Then became AFO and so on,then in the 70’s they closed the local taxation office and the number was being issued from Hereford. Radnoshire is now part of Powys along with the old counties of Brecon and Montgomery. Paul Griffiths is a firm believer in keeping our old County alive and most of their vehicles have the FO numbers along with their private cars.
Cheers Dave.

" Boss demote’s himself " Paul Griffiths in the one and only Foden, seen in the Strinds.

Hi Dave, i should have realised it was something to do with the area being as we had an ex A H Jones motor reg “OFO” thanks for clearing that one up for me

cheers Joe

A few more from the Kington area - including some of Hedley Simcock’s vehicles as pictured by Dave earlier on - get your wallets out and give them a new home…

hiya.
Only when you hit the deck Chris is when you know you’ve had plenty, and Dave i thought a man with your knowhow would have advised Chris of that, take notice of a fella with experience of the capabilities of abusing the fire water, and spending plenty of time deckbound.
thanks harry long retired.

Don’t need to say where this one’s from, seen on the A44 Kington bypass.

John Williams Foden which he had new with Tilcon, the took it over when they sold the lorries,it had 265 Rolls engine.

Peter Preston with his Scania eight legger on the A4111 in Eardisley Village, Herefordshire.

John Williams first new Foden as an owner.I think it had a 300 Roll’s engine.
