Dave.Clee Hill delivered a lot of chippings into central London in the late 60s,the crack was to set off at about 12am and be in and out before the traffic. We used to have a trip with them in the school holidays,trouble is some of the boys had been in the pub all evening.Mark

Hi Mark,
Different day and age,when I was a kid all the hauliers that sent lorries to Avonmouth or Cardiff Docks at the beggining of the month went at midnight to beat the queue,but as with everything all the others cottened on.

Yes they were a big outfit until a few years ago,did european work also steel haulage,still run a couple as far as I know.

Nice pics. Lloyds still run a couple of artics,could be four,they still have a licence for about 70 lorries plus more trailers. I think one of the daughters run it now.
