They were a bag of crap weren’t they Harry?
hiya,
Load of crap just about sums the 80 up Chris, it’s only saving grace was it’s economy it did around 8 to the gallon where’as the old Silver Knight with the ■■■■■■■ was doing around 4.5 when i was in hurry up mode and that was every trip outbound never too bothered when coming back to the yard though.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi trunkera1,
You are burning a few candles if you were tramping before 1966 when the severn bridge was opened. But as you know there is a lot of Wales that doesn’t need the bridge’s to cross.I remember them starting on the Severn Bridge about 1960 when I was gping to Avonmouth with my Dad,it was a fair old sight seeing those big scrapers and bulldozers in those days, hadn’t seen kit like that before, not on that scale.
Cheers Dave.
Hi Dave, I see Harry’s messing with you early today, or were you still sleepy eyed when you read his comments lol. Happy birthday Dennis, and I’m sure Andrew sends his regards also. I think he’s away on a wild weekend with his mates, also taking a break from his computer.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I thought Harry meant something further back than the skip when he posted his message, but knowing Harry he was testing to see if I was awake, you never know with him,he’s a wily old driver. Thought Andrew was quiet, expect he will be banging the pics on when he gets back.
Cheers Dave.
