Hi Martyn,
Always been one for getting about, went to Aberaeron to collect a couple of prits off Alan Spillett,as it was a nice day had a ride on down to M D’s yards, been there a few times, but only had pics with a mobile, got my good lady to take some better one’s with the camera monday, then came back down to the A40 below Clynderwen and came back home that way through Llandovery and over the Sugar Loaf. Will have a ride down your area and get some pics sometime, don’t seem to see many from that area.
Cheers Dave.

no problem dave if ive a couple more of shillibiers to put on then a few of my old sk mercs which i used to have one in particular 1633 which i bought off joint motorways pete 359 painted her many years ago wish now id kept her if only we new what was in tomorrows papers today hey    cheers martyn.i wonder if dennis has forgiven me for spelling his name wrong once?

Hi Martyn,
I wouldn’t think he would worry to much about the name mistake,he must have got a fairly thick skin after being in the haulage business for several years. Still quite a few of the South Cornelly boys hauling from these quarries. The work seems to have picked up in the last couple of weeks, probably not the rates though.
Cheers Dave.

hi dave seems to be the case the 8 wheeler boys seem to be busy enough i use one of the owner drivers to do some loads for me as and when and he says thier not to bad but as you say they did cut the rates cheers martyn.

sammy dog:
how many days would they take to tip those trailers bewick.

No messing Sammy ! Staight up and out, but remember ours were only tipping once or twice at most in a day !! the only problem I think we encountered was the odd place that wern’t too happy about running the donkey inside the shed !! never could understand why ! Bewick Boy.

A couple of FM eight wheelers, there was quite a lot of kit in that part of the yard, but all parked behind other vehicles, making it too awkward to take pics.

One of K E Jones from the Sugar Loaf area near Llanwrtyd Wells, see on the A44 Capel Bangor near Aberystwyth.

DAVE do you think bewick has gone up the attic to get somemore albums and the missus has taken the ladder away

Cheers Dave.

As you know they have all the versions Martyn, don’t know a lot about FH’s myself, except that they seem one of the biggest sellers in the heavy unit range.
Cheers Dave.

Some more in the old railway station yard.

A couple of H Sladen & Son artics of Hucknall, parked by the side of the A478 near Clynderwen, Pembrokeshire.

A few fom me today.

And one of my lot heading for home

Not bad from my first attempt at moving vehicles,I’d even had a couple of pints of guinness to wash my dinner down.
Good job the missus was driving
