Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

Fair play Dave, you picked one of the best days to visit Brecon :sunglasses:

Price:

Brilliant pic mate, I am hauling from the same place now, it is the old Lead mine near to Rhandirmwyn, great bit of road to drive on
The road from Llandovery up towards the Llyn Brianne dam is always busy with log trucks Dave, pick a nice day and have a picnic and spotting day in one mate, you wont be dissapointed.
I will do a little video next week to show how great that road upto the lead mine is

My truck pictured by google street view last year

i used to love that piece of road dave , after the drag up to the storey arms with a 505 marshall or a foden with a 180 it was nice to let it romp down there so long as you slowed down before you got to the steep twisty bit at the bottom . i wish i had a quid for every tike i went down there , cheers , dave

Got you now bubsy,on for Charlie, ask him about talking to me on the CB back in the 80’s.I worked on the roads where the lead mine is at Rhandirmwyn in 1970 and lodged at the pub there. The Lyn Brianne dam was being built at the time.I remember the paddies oming in and drinking guiness when we were having breakfast.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Harry,

Cheers Dave.
