Quite right Bewick,I have to put them on as I upload them otherwise I would probably post the same photo twice,if you think you saw a lot of Gough’s none stop,you look back through this thread,there’s pages of other hauliers. I think I probably uploade a few to many at a time. I should like a lot of other members post an album at a time,but I just put them on one at a time,being very old and thick.

There is no doubt that you are quite capable of posting pics,a lot of us struggle to start,ny nephew came over and tried to post some on here for me,but failed,but I kept having a go,and after reading the guide at the top of the main page I eventually cracked it. Its quite frustrating when you know you are getting something wrong,its just missing a click in the right place,bit like driving a strange lorry with a different gearbox years ago. I expect you wish to remain fairly low profile with your pics.

With regard to a strange gear box Dave all I used to say is " sort them out son they’re all in one box " Bewick photos are all over the place ! and seeing that the last ones would have been taken around 1995 they are old hat now as we live in a totally different world than the one I operated in . Ah Bewick,thats where you are wrong,your pics are not old hat,its people like me posting new pics that are wrong. This forum is all about older lorries,yours would be very well recieved. The only reason I post newer stuff,is because I haven’t got enough old one’s. Most of the people on this forum are interested in the old stuff,the new one’s are on the photo forum.

Got plenty battle scarred lorries,especially on the tipper work. As for being Gough’s publicity manager,I think they do a pretty good job of that themselves,they are mate’s of another smart fleet owner family C W Griffiths & Sons,who as you know run a very smart fleet,same as up your neck of the woods,Shropshire and Durham,there’s plenty of nice moters around.

You are right there Keith,they have closed the testing station at Llandrindod Wells,the operators now have to travel a long way to have the vehicles tested,or for checks,if they have a tug. But I expect the green and lighter coloured battenburg people carries will still be floating about. Its no bad thing to get rid of the cowboys,and this traffic light system seems a good way of sorting them as well.
