Hi Bewick,
The leisure centre is in the field, thats if sheep float your boat. I was born in Llandrindod Wells, but live right on the border, one mile from Herefordshire,so I don’t use the leisure centre.
Cheers Dave.

And another thing Dave while were on ------ stop reving these old BRS boys up , thats my job OK !!! All the best Bewick

Hi Bewick,
Your revving is nothing compared with some on here, its all a bit of light hearted banter as you know, but there are others on some threads that really get wound up,after all its only chat, god help anyone if they were like that when driving.
The BRS boys like a laugh. I have got a Cairn terrier, not into Collie’s.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Dave, there’s a thread on here entitled “one of the nicest fleets around” and i crossed swords with a guy on it because i said i preferred to see motors a bit mud spattered and with a few battle scars, like you would always find on an old red and rust motor, i was virtually accusing the fleet owner of not doing the maintainence not earning money the whole thing gave me a laugh but it just goes to show some people don’t have a sense of humour, nowt wrong with a bit of daft talk i say, but it only works among like minded folk.

Hi A Couple of years ago while still working now and then as i do, I open the goods inward doors i see a Red truck(I must say this company is’nt the best to get unloaded)With a polite smile i said we dont unload Red trucks on this(What ever day it was)WHOOOOOOOOSH I’am pegged against the wall if this …g …k is’nt , unloaded soon there is…trouble. Gulp I was only opening the door to see if h’ad like a coffee, I was driving internal only. And was what i thought been friendly. He was wound up like a clock spring.Must be the job.
John.

Hi Harry & John,
I think its the day and age we live in now. People are more aggressive, then you get them with road rage,a lot of drivers are going around waiting to have a rant at someone, nobody has time to have a chat and a laugh any more. Its a sad old world really,as we have all said before,we have had the best times, but at least we can relive a few of them on these threads.
Cheers Dave.

Back to the lorry pics, here’s on of A E Gough’s ERF’s. on carnival duty in Llandrindod Wells.

A E Gough’s Foden artic pictured outside their workshop, can’t remember them having many Fodens, other than this one.

A bit out of sequence, found this one of the smashed Daf,which I should have posted earlier.

A flat trailer with this ERF of Gough’s.Once again taking part in the carnival.

You are spot on there Sammy, did you ever meet up with that female (ish) crane driver at W.T.Flathers on Sheffield Road. She worked 6-2 regular and what an ignorant sod she was,she was so big she “hung” over the crane cab and all drivers were bas*****,usless and idle. I thought I could swear… :open_mouth:
And the word was the shop foreman was sh****** her, talk about any port in a storm!!

hiya,
Got the info Chris,thanks.

One of A E Gough’s ERF artics, getting loaded in a quarry, not sure which, guessing its either Builth or Cribbarth.

A E Gough & Sons were running several ERF’s in the eighties and nineties, before the Scania’s.

Another pic of one of A E Gough’s ERF’s.

Another ERF artic of A E Gough & Sons, parked in the corner of their yard.
