They’re from henley-in-arden. And run MANs, ERFs and scanias.
Saw this white Scania eight wheeler with the Hanson logo,on the A49 between Leebotwood and Dorrington a couple of weeks ago.
These next few pics were got by pure chance. We decided early this afternoon as it was a nice day, lets go to Aberystwyth,as we passed Cross Gates on the A44 near Llandriindod Wells,we spotted a Circus next to Knills services, never seen one there in my lifetime before. On the way back they were pulling the big top down, and guess what,I spotted some lorries, this ERF is one.
Don’t know who was driving th is Seddon Atkinson, could have been one of the fella’s with the big boots and the red nose. To be fair its been very wet, also that Jenny on the back would vibrate it into the mud a bit.
Another pic from the Circus, this Seddon Atkinson was having a bit of rough treatment hooking up to the box trailer.
The two blokes were underneath trying to do something with the fifth wheel, ehen this was took.
G’day again Dave,
Found a few more from Builth quarry, taken in 1983.
Early model ‘D’ Series with a good load of stone.
A line up of the Readymix Leylands.
Not a truck I know, but of some interest I reackon, note the exhaust stack and flat deck body, looks more like the kind of landy we get down under with that deck.
And finaly, yep that’s me with my brand new Trucking International truckers cap,at about this age I started taking truck photos, and I still am today, sad eh mate?
Cheers Jamie
Volvo FM bulk tipper, stopped at the snack van, on Church Stretton bypass A49.

Hi Dave we sold this Premium twice - once to a local operator in 2005 and then to someone on the south coast late 2006 - small world

Hi Steve,
Thought when the pic was taken I had not seen that one,but Mervyn runs such a varied fleet, that you can expect to see anything in his colours. Still not forgotten the Spanish Dodge’s of Burgoynes, will have to speak nicely to my good Lady to take some pics.
Cheers Dave.
One of Mervyn,s Scania’s pictured at his Eardisley depot.
These two have got a long way to go,one of Walters of Swansea towing another on a bar,A5 Queenshead near Oswestry.

Hi Jamie,
I renember those lorries, the D1000 and the Seddon Ernie Jones, think the Landrover was used by Jim Humphries who was the foreman andd the other fitters. The readymixx lorries have all changed now to the french firm. Good to see those old moters again, think you posted the Seddon a while back with the driver, great quarry pics Jamie, keep em coming.
Cheers Dave.
Passing the gatso at Shottaton crossroads on the A5.
One of the Tarmac North Wales hauliers D J L Haulage, Volvo’s seen on the A5, near the vosa weighbridge at Nesscliffe.
Another pic from Mervyn Thomas yard, the Scania is the first artic he had,now used as his recovery vehicle.
These two have been on before, but not together.
Said to my good lady here’s a good shot with these artics, lined up in this layby, as we came off this roundabout on the A5 on Shrewsbury bypass. Then this pickup comes by.
