Hi jonmea,
Thanks for posting some more great pics. The Volvo FL7 six wheeler looks as if its one of Arthur Haywards old one’s,can’t quite see the number. I haven’t got any old pics at the moment, will have to get round some of the hauliers down this way, there are lots that have pics,so will get asking again. In the meantime, have a lot of new ones to post.
Cheers Dave.

Will try this next week to get some more old tipper pics on this thread. I do realise that this forum is for older lorries. I can’t always get enough tippers or older stuff to keep the thread going, that’s why I’m posting a bit of all sorts.
Cheers Dave.

More power to your elbow squire.

I seriously don’t mind seeing day to day vehicles on this thread though old tippers are undoubtedly boss. :sunglasses:

Keep posting fella, and you’ll keep me interested. :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Hi Graham,
Seen him parked their a couple of months ago on a sunday evening, had a 143 with a lowloader behind it. Will have a look next time I am down that way. Got a few pics to pick up off John Chamberlain, who drives for Tony Lewis,he gave me a bell this morning to say he’s found half a dozen, has more when he can find them.
Cheers Dave.

can you remember dave winwoods carpets of much cowarne

Graham I remember the firms, but not the drivers, don’'t remember Winwoods. Gammonds are still going as you probably know, only bloke I know on there is a called Munto or something similar, haven’t seen him lately, used to come up to Eardisley to Forest fencing, but they have finished. Towards the end it was Stobarts and Mervyn Thomas doing most of the haulage from there, with Polish trucks hauling in.
Cheers Dave.

John Chamberlain has sorted a few pics for me,John ran his own lorry for several years in the 60’s and 70’s,here’s a pic of probably his first one. A Leyland Comet flatbed with a 350 engine.

John Chamberlain run this Austin FFK series, in the late sixties, here seen loaded with canned veg out of Beeches canning works, at Three Elms, Hereford.
