Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

Even the Welsh Border lorry drivers enjoy a trip to the continent on a coach, John Cross included some coach pics in with his collection.

Not sure which port this is, could be Dover, some you guys have been there more than me.

Larkins V8 Scania coming down round to the Gore weighbridge. When this lorry left the Quarry loaded, it sounded brilliant, nothing beats the sound of a V8.

Hi Dave,

Enjoying the pics as usual.

Wilks ERF P152 EFL is an ex- PJ Thory from Whittlesey near Peterborough motor.

Thory are a long established tipper operator and used to run many ERFs.

They have moved over to DAFs with a and a couple of Hinos these days.

Nice to see the Cargo six wheeler still on the go.

Cheers
Mark

If you can’t find any of a tipper unloading into a barber green, then this is the next best thing !

Hi Mark,
Haven’t seen this moter up this way before, unless someone has just bought it. As I said there are a lot of chippings going out at the moment, lorries from all over backloading, probably glad of the work, some of the drivers will know who runs it now.
Cheers Dave.
