Have you come across anybody with photos of Woolleys Tankers yet Dave?

Hi Dave, No haven’t got any of Woolley’s, if you have some, stick them on. As for the S20 Foden, I will ask Paul.
Cheers Dave.

Last new Leyland Bison bought by C W Griffiths, they made the Constructor after. They still have a Bison featured on this thread, still in daily use, operated by Clarence Griffiths nephew Elwyn Griffiths.

This is in my opinion, one of the nicest looking lorries on C W Griffiths fleet, One very neat six wheeler.

This Leyland Bear, pictured at C W Griffiths, Dolyhir garage, in March 1978, carried a 17 ton payload,at 24 ton gross weight.

G’day Dave,
Top pics mate, here’s a couple more I’ve doug out,all taken in Builth, late in 1983. Wish I’d taken a better shot of the Foden, looks like an S40, the name on the door is A B GOUGH & SONS,LLandod. Would love to see a better shot of this old banger. This was taken on the first ever roll of film that I took of trucks,I was nine at the time, the other two better shots were taken by my uncle. The seddon is a little beauty,it was still running in 1988. Hope they are of interest mate Jamie

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for posting the pics, always glad to see others posting on this thread. A E Gough & Sons of Llandod, are featured on this thread, their lorries are blue now, run a very smart flleet now. When they ran the brown lorries their fleet was quite old, but they had a change of directiom, as quoted in the Commercial Moter, they changed their image with new kit, went into bulk haulage, although since then they have got two eight wheel tippers back in Builth. The Seddon I would think is an ex Ernie Jones of Builth lorry, possibly at the time of your pic run by Sam Price. The TM Bedford as shown was Charlie Smart who until recently was running a big fleet on containers from Southampton.
Cheers Dave.
