What very sad news. Sincere condolences to his friends and family.

This has always been a most interesting and informative thread. Let’s hope it will keep going to 1,000 pages as a fitting memorial to Dave.

Who was the company that had red F10’s from Llangollen, heading north on A5 their garage was on the left just before traffic lights in town centre, very small building just about fit a unit in there! Think it may have been where these new flats are built, Cheer’s Pete

Dee Valley Transport…that yard was tight even with a 28ft Boden Tandem behind an S20 Foden, (armstrong steering)!

Their Foden 8 wheelers were beautiful, red and chrome.

I used to go through llangollen every month in the early 70’s and there was a row of derelict looking Fodens in a yard. They were red. Same firm?
I also picked up a young lady hitching to Swaffam there. My destination? Back to the yard in Thetford! Happy days, when you could safely do that. Jim.

Dee Valley thats the one Saviem! JMC, Dee Valley used to pull out of the print works I think on right coming out of Llangollen, that is were I can remember their Volvo’s and I think a Foden S80?
