Neil’s pic Keith. The storm in 1982 didn’t start until February. We also had a blizzard in March 1964.
Cheers Dave.

I’ve got quite a few of Neil’s to post yet Keith. He certainly got some good photo’s when he was lorry driving.
Cheers Dave.

Neil Richards sent me these photo’s of one of Knill’s service buses which was hit up the rear by a Triumph Stag in the 1980’s. This happened on the A44 at Walton, Radnorshire. The bus had passengers from this area onboard, but luckily no one was hurt.

Yes Keith, Knill’s had a lot of buses and coaches, but packed them in a few years back. Veolia got the school & service runs, but based their fleet at Knill’s.
The Knill family just concentrated on their other businesses and property.
Cheers Dave.

A livestock artic, seen on the A5 in Shropshire.

A couple of Bedfords off to a new home, or to be broken for spares.

Another angle.

Neil has his Dad along for a trip in this pic.

Hi Dave. How did Knill’s get hold of all these motors? Part exchange or just buying cheaper than the breaker would pay him!

Bill Knill bought them at Measham and through the trade as far as I know Paul. He was a dealer who was sadly killed in an RTA near Presteigne returning from a sale at Measham, when an artic jackknifed and took the roof off his Jaguar. Ironic really, when he had been involved with lorries all of his life. He wasn’t much more than early 50’s. After years of struggling, he had good premises and business. Very sad.

Hiya,
That’s a cracking picture Dave I loved those Atki’s unless they were Gardner
powered the driver and the motor look like they’ve had a hard shift.
