I see this Foden Alpha artic tipper around a lot recently, seen here on the A480 at Woonton, Herefordshire.

He likes to keep it clean Dave.

There is a red Daf XF artic tipper running up this way as well John, probably from the same show and bling stable.
Cheers Dave.

Hiya,
I could double shift with this guy He’s obviously on my wavelength if the Guvnor want’s a
show motor let him get the yard man to wash and polish it I’m a driver not a valet and it
won’t go any better anyway, when they’re on the wash they aint’ earning

Did think of you when posting this pic Harry. Thought it met your criteria about washing lorries. I think you might have cleaned the number plates and lights to keep legal.
Cheers Dave.

Harry, there were guy’s at our quarry who washed their lorry every day without fail as they swore that a clean lorry went better than a dirty one! The rest of us couldn’t get near the washbay even if we wanted to, which to be truthfull I didn’t! I would be cracking off to Sheffield with a load while they were queuing for the wash. Now, if only you had kept that Scania 80 clean it would have flown along in grand style and you would have to take back all the derogatory remarks that you have made about the sweet little thing!

Pete.

Hiya,
A Fantastic fleet Dave, any Guvnor would be proud of, Just wondering if I offered my services
would there be a possibility of finding me one with not quite so many lights, at least it would
be a bit cheaper and there’d be the bigger payload as his bonus, I still wouldn’t wash it though.

Derek Gough the Father of the two brothers that own the firm, Simon and Michael was still driving the artics to load at the local quarries or to the dealer for maintenance when required, until he became ill and passed away a couple of years ago. Derek was older than you Harry and was still getting behind the wheel at 84 years of age. A true lorry man, and a nice bloke as well.
Cheers Dave.
