R&b Transport wasnt that Rhys and Bufton ? As a lad i can remember there AECs at the Abbey … With out doubt one of the smartist fleets to grace the works at that time !.. They did timed deliveries to the likes of Vauxhall at Ellesmere Port .
Dave and Keith either of you two learned gents …, i am sure will put me right … Geraint .

You are spot on Geraint. Rice & Bufton is what R & B stand for. I think Paul who owns it now is possibly Harry Rice Grandson.
Cheers Dave.

Here’s a couple more of R & B’s old wagons Geraint. If you look back through this thread I have quite few pics of their old one’s which Paul lent me.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave and Geraint , Love the picof the Mandator , which of course did timed deliveries from Margham . Geraint i totally agree a very smart fleet to grace the Abbey . I believe there depot acted on the night time change over for Vauxhalls and also Walker steels .
Dave the Mandator to me looks like rail reclamation , old sleepers etc .Thanks Dave regards Keith .

Could be possibly Builth or Rhayader Railway Station’s which were closed by Beeching in the early 1960’s, as were a lot of track and stations in Mid Wales Keith.
Chers Dave.

Renault eight legger bulk blower,seen on the A4112 at Kinnersley, Herefordshire.

That ain’t no bulker Dave; it’s my motor though not me driving it!

Looks more like this from the side;

He’d probably be going up to Mortimer’s Cross, got a regular drop up there.

Sorry about that Sidevalve. I automatically thought it was a bulker when I uploaded the pic, and looking at the wagon from the front. I didn’t notice on the day we met the vehicle. Thanks for the other pic.
Cheers Dave.
