I might have the wrong road Keith, as I uploaded a lot of photo’s over the last few weeks, and I’m struggling to remember where we took some of them. I can’t recognise some of the stretches. It could be the A438 between the Nelson and the Weir gardens.
Cheers Dave.

This is the one I would think Keith. Rhayader and Nash quarries were both mothballed back in the 70’s.One of these days they will be opened up again, as Gore and Strinds will be worked out. Dolyhir has a few years left. But these two mothballed quarries have huge reserves in them and both have licences.
Cheers Dave.

Paul Booth who owns R &B lent me a load of his pics Keith. As you say they had a Bedford S type around that time, also TK’s and a KM later.
Cheers Dave.

You are spot on Geraint. Rice & Bufton is what R & B stand for. I think Paul who owns it now is possibly Harry Rice Grandson.
Cheers Dave.
