Top quality Dave,is that the Williams that got bought out by the TDG?

Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Dave, Didn’t William’s used to be the same colours as the trailer their Scania is pulling
I used to see loads coming out of Flint as I was going in in the early mornings en-route
for Courtaulds factory in the early 1970s.
thanks harry, long retired.

I think they were green when they had a depot in Herefordshire Harry. Another of Ron’s pics.
Cheers Dave.

Ah Dave that view brings it all back - that was taken in the old Riverside Car Park in Haverfordwest. As a truck-mad kid that was where I’d pester my dad to take me, if at a loose end of an evening, so I could see the variety of trucks parked up. There’s a Costa coffee shop on roughly that spot now, where I’m often to be found lunching with the current Mrs Sime17.
Lorry parks in towns are getting more and more of an issue now aren’t they? The signpost for overnight parking ‘in Haverfordwest’ now directs drivers to Penblewyn, a rest area off the a40 about 12 miles towards Carmarthen - which is about two miles from any pub or food outlet. Regular wagon visitors know some alternatives of course but I think it’s sad that the official signs make drivers so unwelcome.
