Dave the Renegade:

Westons Cider at Much Marcle, Herefordshire.

I see we’re back on my favourite subject, Dave! Wish I had a pound for every bag of fruit I’ve taken there.
Not long ago I rang Weston’s to ask what had happened to my favourite brew, Weston’s Supreme.
the young lady paused for a moment, then said, “How old are you? We haven’t made that since old Mister Vernon was in charge”.
Made me feel even older than usual. :unamused:

Not the best pic Casey, a bit grainy, but a more up to date pic of their wagons.
Cheers Dave.

It’s the load that counts, Dave. That pic’s how I see most of the world after a few Weston’s!

C W Griffiths & Sons Ltd run the Volvo’s with the Radnorshire registration FO Pete. I drove for Clarence Griffiths back in the late 60’s. He is now in his 80’s, but still involved with the business which is run by his younger Son Paul, seen this afternoon in their yard. Andrew his older Son also is involved in the business, but Paul is at the helm these days.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Eddie,
G Owen are from Newtown which is just over 30 miles from my home. I think they run about 25 vehicles. Gerry Jones are from South Wales and run a larger fleet as far as I know. Its surprising how far the hauliers go traveling all over the UK. We see quite a few from your side of border down this way, its always nice to see some wagons with different names and places o them.
Cheers Dave.
