That looks quite good in Gammond’s colours, Dave. Very under-rated, in my opinion. I had a Stralis for a fortnight on Stevo’s while the usual pilot was on holiday and I absolutely loved it. But it went back after two years and we were inundated with those Renault Premium things.
The Spanish Dodges seemed to be driven by retired RAF test pilots- they would leave me for dead with my clapped-out Ford/PerkinsV8.
Thats right ROF , those Dodges would burn off F88 Volvos and 111 Scanias , William Morgan from the Swansea valley had one that just did that . happy days regards Keith .
Dave i can remember Gammonds hauling steel sections on trombone trailers , assume it could have been out of Painter Bros , regards Keith .
I expect so Keith, I’m not sure who they haul if for now, unless its Joseph Ash from the old Hereford Galvanisers site.
Cheers Dave.

Dave , they certainly have a tidy fleet , any chance do you think of any of there US motors they used to run . A mate of mine seems to think they had a White which they sold to Williams at Sennybridge , regards Keith .

I remember the old man Gammond having a International six wheeler in the 1950’s, but lost track of them after that Keith, until recent years.
Cheers Dave.
The shotgun incident during the drivers strike…the Spanish Dodges…
The Spanish Dodge fitted with a Buffalo cab…fastest lorry ever on the M50…if that appeared in your mirrors…move over…
And many more, (potentially libellous tales)…
But I need my sleep, for tomorrow is a massive day here…again…but Gammonds…oh boy, what a history!!!
Cheerio for now.
And didnt they also run some Internationals (Doncaster built) along with European cabbed ERFS (MW) as well ? Speaking to an old mate he seems to think a former White ended up with Williams at Sennybridge , regards Keith .
