You could well be right Trevor. I don’t know much about tanker firms.
Cheers Dave.

Their yard probably was Keith. Their vehicles were a similar colour to Sweetmans who had a yard in Plough Lane.
Cheers Dave.

Bristow’s could regularly be seen hauling apple pulp around Bulmers’ sites.
Like the Vauxhall Victor estate- my old chap found one in a dealer’s showroom while we were on holiday in Devon and insisted on walking past it every morning just to spend five minutes staring at it. He never managed to afford one!

Probably just as well Casey, those Vauxhalls in the 1960’s were rust buckets. The later one’s were much better.
Cheers Dave.

But they looked the dog’s with all that shiny paint & chrome!

Here’s one with a bit less chrome from Hereford. Courtesy of John Blue-eyes Middleton.

Hi Dave and ROF , the last i remember of them they were running Spainish Dodges , hauling bitumen from Berry Wiggins Cinderford . regards Keith .

That looks quite good in Gammond’s colours, Dave. Very under-rated, in my opinion. I had a Stralis for a fortnight on Stevo’s while the usual pilot was on holiday and I absolutely loved it. But it went back after two years and we were inundated with those Renault Premium things.
The Spanish Dodges seemed to be driven by retired RAF test pilots- they would leave me for dead with my clapped-out Ford/PerkinsV8.

Thats right ROF , those Dodges would burn off F88 Volvos and 111 Scanias , William Morgan from the Swansea valley had one that just did that . happy days regards Keith .

They have moved on a bit since then Keith, got some tidy motors these days. They do a lot of steel on trombone trailers nowadays Casey, as well as general haulage. Don’t see any curtainsiders with them.
Cheers Dave.
