Saviem:
Hello Chris, yes the design was the same,( but Peter Foden never owned up to it)!!!I believe at some stage Quest, and ERF South African Operation had discussed the project, but it did not go further. There were plans for an “Atlantis” engined version, much heavier spec, and of course Atlantis used Mercedes designs.

When Quest went bump, there were lots of bits lying around, and one spare cab, but with a different windscreen, much higher, and narrower. The whole lot lay there for several years, and no one was interested…me included…ah lost opportunities!

D`ont remind me of Ebro…I once purchased one…it may have worked once or twice!!! Then like a fool I purchased a new Nissan pick up…opened the door one day…and on the plate it said, Manufactured at the EBRO…I read no more, and sold the B… thing as soon as possible, 20mpg, well!!!

Cheerio for now.

Cheer’s for that bit of info Saviem, i have been trying to find out more on the Quest for some time now, so that’s answered a few questions. Spain seem to love them EBRO’s, bloody loads of out there, think they are badged as NISSAN funnily enough.

Not sure if this is a unit altered or a ballast tractor.
