Ivor Duggan & Sons new Mercedes Axor eight wheeler tipper, seen reversing into the yard with elder son Steve Duggan at the wheel with his son Lewis Duggan riding shotgun.

A much clearer pic of the new Mercedes which will join another Axor which the Duggan family has been running for two years.

I like the Axor. It’s a nice basic workhorse with an interior suited for the tipper environment. The storage area behind the seats look great for ppe, overalls, towing slings etc. Narrowish cab for tight deliveries and good ground clearance, and easy to clean dashboard.
The 9spd manual gearbox doesn’t do it for me but the 16 is good.
I should do the “Truck on Trial” feature in Trucking.

Steve tipping off the test load from the new Axor.

Dave the Renegade:

The rear view of the fire damaged Komatsu PC 1250 which Graham thinks will get broken for spares.

dave should he have the bucket on the back as seen as 2 loads under special types.

hiya,
The laws must have changed, I remember in years gone by I did a few old steam
locomotives to the scrapyard at Barry and the preservation people and if the tender
was detachable it had to go as a separate load even if the motor and movements you
had was capable of taking it as one lump.
thanks harry, long retired.

Those hi viz strips on the sides spoil the look, Dave. Is it just tippers that have to have them? We’re retro fitting them but I thought it was just new ones?

Ivor Duggan is very pleased with the first one he bought two years ago Nathan. That’s why he has added a second to his fleet. He would probably have a couple more, but as he says some of his customers places can’t be accessed with an eight wheeler. So he’s still running his three six wheeler Fodens.
Cheers Dave.
