Does anyone have a pic of that 6-wheel Cargo tipper still operating in Wales - if it is still working?? I know there’s some on here somewhere, but just wondered if it was still earning a crust?? Thanks in advance

Dave will know if it still works

(apologies - it’s not a great picture)

Its still working, but Wesley is running another lorry as well now.

Seen weighing out at Strinds/Dolyhir quarry on the Welsh Border.

Many thanks! I presume it’s a ■■■■■■■ LT/LTA powered wagon■■? I do like the old Cargo, though I always favoured the underdog, so no surprises. I’ve just finished restoring one too. Thanks again! Some really great old pics on this thread, very interesting and hope some of those old Atki’s, Foden’s, Bedfords etc see the hand of a dedicated restorer soon!

He did have a Cargo with a Deutz engine.I can’t remember if its this one or an earlier one that he ran.
Yes Nathan it carries over 17 ton.
Cheers Dave.

Payload on that Cargo will be around 17.80, there is one the same on a G plate that works locally (when TARM*C let it  ). You needed a decent payload as an incentive to drive them, at least Foden had suspension on their cabs!

Pete.

Dave the Renegade:

A quite tidy Foden eight legger.

I think this was Burrows recovery from Derby area, if so the truck had a Holmes type twin boom crane and a slewing crane fitted.
Neil.

It sounds about right Neil. The chap has several cranes and is a good bloke using them.
Cheers Dave.
