Dave the Renegade:

This one which my old mate John Cross drove for Roberts Transport from Knighton was a 401.

hi dave,
i am sorry to appear anorak-ish mate,but that 8 wheeler is a 400.
regards andrew.

You are right Andrew,a bit old to be a 401.Have a look on big lorry blog, you are quoted along with a pic of a 401.
Cheers Dave.

Dave the Renegade:

A Foden parked at the lorry site.

hiya,
That Foden looks ready to go Dave is there diesel in it, I’ve driven stuff that’s looked a lot rougher than that Old Girl and my steeds were never quite so clean either.
thanks harry long retired

Plenty of rain water Harry, better than all this polish.I will see if he will get her out for you. He’s a younger bloke than I am,but has old fashioned views about lorries which I like.No foreign motors there.
Cheers Dave.

Nearly ready to go Harry, just scrounge a couple of mirrors and kick the tyres and away.

hiya,
Don’t bother about the mirrors Dave, so long as I can see where I’m going I’m not bothered about where I’ve been plus my Old Lady reckons I miss nowt and says I must have eyes in the back of my head.
thanks harry long retired.

Sounds as if you and my old mate that owns these motors would get on fine Harry. He’s a throw back to the good old days which were much better.
Cheers Dave.

A few minor repairs needed on this ERF.

A D series Ford hiding behind some others.

A Bedford KM and an Atkinson parked together.

The Seddon Atkinson looks a bit worse for wear on the nearside.

A Dodge Commando with a box on the back.

Another pic of this Atki.

The Seddon Aktkinson is in a lot better nick than the barn roof behind it :open_mouth:

None of the buildings are used John.I think he lets the farm out.

The last pic from this batch. There are many more to be had from this location, once the autumn leaves are gone.

hiya,
Dave ask your pal if I can hire the caravan for my fortnights vacation, just leave it where it is, I’ll be happy, can’t say the missus will share my enthusiasm though, the fairer ■■■ just have no idea, is there a Bingo hall nearby so’s I can unload her there and do my thing just browsing all those British motors and who knows I just might resurrect the old class one if I can get the “old lady” to let me spend nights away from home.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Harry,
There isn’t a Bingo Hall for miles. There is a pub about three miles away.Harry.He has several caravans about the place, with a fair collection of smaller vehicles. Its a really amazing place to go.I knew he had quite a few vehicles, but not nearly as many as we saw.I’m looking forward to going back when the trees are bare to see what else is there.
Cheers Dave.

A few Scania’s at Carmarthen.

The forward control Scania on the right of pic is more my type of lorry, than the normal control on the left.
