Hi Dave, I hope this guy would be wise enough to sell some of these trucks, before its to late to save them.
I was just reading August’s Truck & Driver, nice article on your friends and neighbour Clarence Griffiths and his brothers.

Regards Paul

Hi Paul,
This guy is wise alright, but nobody knows what he intends doing with them.I would think he originally bought them for spares.
Clarence was pictured with his two nephews Elwyn and Jack, sons of his sister whose married name is also Griffiths.
He still drives eight wheelers when needed at 82 and is probably as good as most of the younger drivers.
Cheers Dave.

Does anyone have a pic of that 6-wheel Cargo tipper still operating in Wales - if it is still working?? I know there’s some on here somewhere, but just wondered if it was still earning a crust?? Thanks in advance

Hi Tony,
Not sure if I will get to Onslow Park. The Gaydon show should be good.We have been to the classic show the last two years. Its an excellent venue and the museum is very good, with a restaurant and other displays etc.
Hope to go to the Retro show at Gaydon in September.
Cheers Dave.

I hope too Gaydon retro show its the ages I like the best. Hopefully I will meet you there and the rest of the steelboys and see Andrews Pete. I have an advert for the steam rally from the local free ppaper.

I don’t know if you like brass band but there is another advert too

Tony

Hi Tony,
I don’t mind brass bands in the distance. As I understand the Onslow park show is on grass and my wheels don’t do grass very well.Thats why I like Gaydon,as its on the tarmac and concrete.By the way its Welland this weekend which is a big show.
Cheers Dave.

Sorry dave i didn’t think of that typical person from a town thick lol .Yes it is all grass .Where is the welland show ? Tony

Cheers Dave…

Ok thanks Dave I will look at the site. But I can’t make tomorrow because i am going too Oswestry to watch some downhill cycle race . They are mad they have a tractor and trailer too take them to the top then they come down really fast . They must take their brains, out they are mad. Its good its free . Its only a local one. but evenj the national site you pay £5 and thats for two days camping as well !! Tony

Sounds like a good day out Tony.I thought about Welland, but its hard work on grass.I prefer the easier way, also we have been to three shows this year.Might take in one more as well as the retro show.
Cheers Dave.
