Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

cattle wagon man:
Hi Dennis, Do you think the gypsies might have stolen the Gatebeck sign on their journey home after Appleby Fair and then abandoned it on the roadside near Leominster ? The local highways staff then stuck it in the ground believing it had been blown down by the wind, so thats how Dave might ` be correct. Give him the benefit of doubt, Dennis !
Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Bewick boss and a couple of mate’s,seen in the river eden at Appleby Horse Fair !!!

Aye it’s that time of year again CWM---- have you got everything locked up tight and put your guard dog on “half rations” for the duration? The “■■■■■” will soon be starting to swarm up the Lune valley towards the “holy city” cheers Dennis

It must be bad living there, they close most of the pubs as well as the shops.

Cheers Dave.

John, tescos tried a “No travellers” rule a few years back and some human rights parasite threatened them with racial discrimination. A subbie I know has a sister who works there and the dirty gits dumped on the toilet floor and pinched god knows what from the shop. The ■■■■■ rights gang keep threatening legal action to make the shops and pubs open :imp:

Hi Dennis, We used to have all the gyppos coming right past our gateway every year, so we had to ignore them - theres too many of them to gang-up against. We did have occasional visits by some of them onto our caravan park for water for their horses, which we allowed , but we were much luckier than some farmers who had metals ( field gates and trailers etc, ) stolen. In the days of milk kits, the gyppos used to nick them when FULL of milk. There is a story that one farmer got revenge by putting a milk kit on the stand in which he had added an agricultural chemical to result in the gyppos having a symptom abbreviated as w. s. !!! We moved away from Ingmire 6 years ago , so the only gyppos we see now are thebig fat b-----s ` on T.V.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Back to the Welsh Border and the lorries, here’s another of Countrywide’s Scania’s,seen on the A44 near Kington.

I did a fair bit of drinking in Stow on a Saturday night when I was a young un, but we always stayed away when it was Stow fair, just didn’t want to be anywhere near the scum.
