Daf four wheeler of Dave Neville’s pictured outside his workshop.worked for dave in late nineties and this was the first truck i had for him, remember driving this from shrewsbury all the way to st austell cornwall empty to pick up 5 ton of white sand and taking it to rmcs concrete plant at pershore
apparentley some bloke was having a big concrete chess board in his back garden and needed the sand for the white squares, must have cost an absolute bomb. dave was a gent to work for topclass and next time you see him send him my regards
Hi drewster,
Will see Dave when I take his pics back,he ain’t changed, still a nice bloke always grinning.

Some of Dave Neville’s concrete mixers, lined up in his yard.Is that a large towing eye sticking out of the front of the Constructor mixer Dave? Readymix used to get mixers up from your neck of the woods when Kidlington were busy and a couple of Constructors came up a few times; they had those “noses”.
Hi Nathan,
I think they are freighters in this pic,any of the mixers you had from this way, would have been Dave Neville’s or Fred Loughman’s another Hereford haulier who is TNUK member Lofty’s Grandad.
Cheers Dave.
Some more of Dave Neville’s mixers. The Iveco was still working and driven by Dave’s son until recently.

Ruddy Hell Dave, that yard is about 200yds from our house in Catterall. I parked in there for the last 6 months that I was running wagons and then Moores built that batching plant in there. It is now all houses and the plant has moved to St. Annes. Your photos do explain why an 8 wheel Foden mixer of Dave Nevilles used to run round here though. David

Hi David,
I looked on Google to see where Moore’s were based and it was in Lancashire.I knew Dave had mixers all over the place but didn’t realise he had them up there.
Cheers Dave.
George Kearne ran this Ford D1000 out of A R C gravel pit at,Stretton Sugwas ,Hereford which was next door to Dave Neville’s yard.Dave later bought the lorry, pictured here in his yard.
Just out of possible interest Dave, this is the latest mixer that I have seen from Moores. Don’t know who runs it

I wouldn’t have a clue David. Dave Neville sold the main of his business to Ken’s Tipper Hire Ltd about five years ago.
He kept a couple of rigid curtainsiders on potatoes and other haulage, but packed that in about 18 months ago to run his private hire business.I have quite a few more of his photo’s to post which he kindly lent me.He told me he has a lot more, but his family mounted them on a big framed collage for his 65th birthday.
Cheers Dave.
