Dave the Renegade:
Some more of M A Evans fleet,a Scania 82,seen on Knighton lorry park.
hiya,
Just a question Dave are these M A Evans motors that you are currently posting for our pleasure still in daily use or are they archive photo’s, if still in use on a daily basis they are a credit to him you don’t see many motors of that vintage still operational although anything Scania 8■■? should have been scrapped when coming off the assembly line, although the six wheeler looks well and so long as it does’nt get any bigger should be a decent motor, prefer the 111s though.
thanks harry long retired.
Hi Harry,
These motors that I have been posting, such as the Scania 111’s and 112’s,plus the others over the last week are out of an album that David Edwards son of Roy and now a director of the firm lent me.They run modern Scania’s,five artics and one eight wheeler. They used to run about sixteen, but had a sale a few years back to reduce the fleet.
David owns two Atkinsons and two B series ERF’s plus a Scania 143 which he shows, also him and his dad have several old tractors which they take on runs.I have another forty or so pic’s of theirs to post.I have tried to go from the older one’s first, they did run lorries older than the one’s I have posted, but I don’t know if they have pictures of those.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Thanks for that Dave just thought that the motors which are a bit “long in the tooth” were managing to look so well and especially on mainly tipper work, well turned out motors and a cracking livery too.

Hi Harry,
They have always run good kit,as he says he likes a good days work from the drivers,so they get good motors. They have run an all Scania fleet for the last 25 years, which maakes sense as he was the dealer, and their is still a dealer across the road from his yard.
Cheers Dave.
