300 cu inch wasn’t it?
Not sure what other uses it had.

I think the Bedford/Vauxhall 6cyl petrol was a standard unit and was de-tuned for the commercials, but someone will no doubt put me straight! Bewick.

I think it was Robertsons jam/marmalade company who used petrol engined TK Bedfords right up to the 1970’s,the owner thought diesel exhaust fumes would taint the products.Kept the drivers happy as well!!

That’s a nice old girl; Do they usually run trucks for a long time or’s that one been exceptionally reliable?

Cheers Dave.

Forgetting the reg, the fact it’s an E-(whatever and not an EC) must make it nearly 20 years old…

If you look near the top of the page, there is a red ERF six wheeler, that is a 1989 motor, and that owner driver does a lot of work all over the place.Walsh’s run from Cheshire down to South Wales with lime with that lorry every day I think.

hiya,
Dave surely it would work out about equal petrol Vs diesel at the current price difference petrol being about 5 pence a gall cheaper than derv with a wagon there would’nt be a big difference in overall MPG, would there??.
