hiya,
Dave normally do the Barnard Castle show nice day out for me i live quite near, was on holiday this time though will have to make sure the missus checks the calander next year before booking the hols first things first “eh” mate, getting a new camera for Crimbo so might manage to get a few pics next time, and pigs might fly too, it’ll most likely finish up under the stairs along with a Tom Tom sat nav thingy which i can’t use either i did loan it to my daughter thinking i would never see the darned thing again but she bought a car with a built-in sat nav and for the first time in her life brought it back “without asking” you can’t win can you??.

My old Daf CF, god I hated that truck!
& the best truck I have ever had the pleasure of driving in 22 years of trucking.
& my most recent mount.
Bloody orrible thing it is too!

Hi Dave, I remember driving one of those, handbrake used to stick on and you had to put your foot on the brake in the deadman position to release it. Did you ever hit your knuckles on the handbrake bracket going for second… ouch !

Hi Trev,
There wasn’t a deadman on that one.Brisbanes had three of them,I think there was a deadman on the newest one,on an F plate, that one and another one had a direct drive gearbox, you had a button on the gearstick the same as a two speed, but moved the stickas well as the button at the same time, there was an older driver on the other one who couldn’t fathom it out.On the newer one they had a normal two speed axle.Never scraped my knee on anything,as for the brakes it used to pull to the left, but it was an easy lorry to drive.
Cheers Dave.
