Some sensible driver decided to block the end of my road by performing a U turn in a 7.5tonne limit. God knows what came over him to think driving up onto the grass was a good idea. He’s actually allowed across the bridge anyway, this whole estate is 7.5tonne except for access, and the co-op he was delivering to is 200 meteres away from here, so i don’t know why he decided to turn around in the first place.
I guess he must of paniced, probably due to the office, fellow drivers and all the other tossers in transport drilling it into him that if he goes through a weight limit he’ll be shot dead upon return to the yard.
Sorry but there is just no excuse for that one. Even if you have to reverse a mile you really shouldn’t be driving if you think you can turn an artic like that.
Poor guy was in a panic!should have just carried on if it’s 7.5t except for access and argue the toss if he gets a ticket! trouble is i am told some bosses/agencys will just pay a fixed penalty & deduct it from the drivers wages(BTW co-operative movement socialist principles look after the workers/customers etc)

Can I ask where this is ?
I do a bit for the Co-Op, a lot of their stores, esp. the ones in Wales are in weight or size restricted areas, but the directions and delivery instructions they issue for each store will state if you have to enter a Weight / Size Restriction, so you are covered.
