delboytwo:
hi mike my guess is
if you want 45 off you would finish at sat 12 pm it does not matter how many shift you do cos you need a full rest and want to start at 9 am mon
No mention was made of the start time in the following week so you can’t base your answer on that. Also you don’t require a full weekly rest anyway as the previous rest was not reduced. 22:00 Saturday - 13:00 Tuesday = 63 hours.
Mike-C:
There are constraints on weekly breaks?
Del, ROG, there is the biggest clue and all you need to consider in answering this.

hi mike
rest due on 00.00 mon as you must start a weekly rest within 6 x24 hour periods
is that right

Mike’s not on the boards at the moment, as far as I can see, but hopefully he won’t mind me saying that is both the wrong answer and the wrong reason.

i think i my have it but not sure
4 am on mon cos you can have 4 15 hour days co you gone in to a new week

3 reduced daily rest periods between weekly rest periods, not per week.

that just noticed that’s me thinking of drive time again
but was the 4 am bit right
2 am sun as you must have a rest, In any two consecutive ‘fixed’ weeks two regular weekly rests; or
- one regular weekly rest and one reduced weekly rest. must be taken
start - finish
mon 9:00 - 00:00
tues 9:00 - 00:00
wed 9:00 - 00:00
thurs 9:00 - 22:00

sat 13:00 - 02:00
your next weekly rest is due to start before 13:00 on sunday as this is the end of the 6th 24hr period following your last weekly rest
if you finish at 02:00 on sunday, your weekly rest will start at 02:00 on sun because you cant start another shift until you have a full weekly rest

Mike corrected the original question and the start time in the second week is 13:00 Tuesday, not Monday, so your answer is not correct.
i think i have got it 1 pm sun but i think not
delboytwo:

You are correct
in thinking you had not got it. Not 1pm Sunday.

i thing i will try this
7pm sat
this is my thinking
he as had 18 hours extra rest at the start of the week plus 5x 24 hour periods and 6 hour makes 6 24 hour period or 144 hours, and as you have to start a rest by 6 24 hour period or 144 hours

Nope, 144 hours from 13:00 Tuesday takes you to 13:00 Monday, not 19:00 Saturday. As well as the 6x24 hour periods there is another condition attached to weekly rest.
