We all knock Stobarts but

^^^ the reasons “why” they did it are not really important imo, the fact they did is what is important.

I stopped to let an old boy cross the road the other day, even though he was within 20 feet of a crossing. It wasn’t completely altruistic though as there was an obviously bra less young lady behind him thinking of crossing too. So a good turn helped us both.

I don’t agree with Stobarts always involving themselves in these tradegies as they did also with the April Jones incident, can’t help but feel it’s a bit of shameless promotion of the Stobarts brand coupled with the “gesture”.

+1

+2.thatl be the way of it…similar to tosco taking care of you etc…just sickening two faced pretencious advertising.

I knock ESL because of this.

Kerbdog:
i know the guy who drives it, his name is Maurice, mo for short. .

Is that the same Mo aka top gun that used to get a lot of stick on here?

As for Stobarts, and speaking as somebody that thinks that Tinkler and Stobart have their heads up their own arses, I think that having Lee’s name on one of their motors is a nice gesture, whatever any possible hidden motive may or may not exist. So good on them I say.
Anybody that stands up to or shows any form of defiance to these radical Islamic type pieces of ■■■■ are spot on in my opinion.

Note: my first ever good word for Stobarts

Well said robroy.

Ssssssssssssshhhhh,you’ll upset the Muslims

If the name on the truck is real, let’s hope the vehicle doesn’t become a target when it hits the road.

Born idle yes any serving soldier is a hero!!! I was a serving soldier and what them lads do day in day out is unbelievable… What I say to any man who doubts are soldiers is - MAN THE ■■■■ UP AND YOU STAND ON THAT FRONT LINE!!! Let’s see you cry like a little girl!!! Eh how can you say that about the soldiers that give there today for your tomorrow!!!

Yeh, right :unamused: I couldn’t give a ■■■■, but it ain’t Muslims in general that I have a problem with, I know a few lads from the local Indian for example, normal lads, we argue about football and have a drink and a laugh, a good bunch of lads.
It’s these radicalised maniacs that call themselves ‘British’ even though they display disrespect and disloyalty to any true British values that I have the problem with.
British?? just because you are born in a stable it don’t make you a bloody horse.
Since the day that young lad was butchered I have worn a Help for Heroes wrist band, and every visit to MSA s I put another quid in the box.

And great post SNOWMAN

fair play to stobarts …hope it is real

I personally don’t think that soldiers/armed forces are hero’s, wounded soldiers or soldiers who have acted or gone beyond the line of duty yes, but not a soldier who is doing the job they are payed to do. I fully understand that things are tough on the front line and theses people are very brave to do what they are doing/ have done.
Our emergency services, doctors, nurses, surgeons save lives on a regular basis but are not classed as hero’s, nor would they want to be classed as hero’s.
For the record I fully support our troops/ help the hero’s charity.

Anybody in uniform is in the front line against those medieval mongs. Lee served in Afghan but was killed in a London street. That is tragedy, but does not make him less of a hero. Just not sure about him being immortalised on one of Eddies…how long before he gets stuffed under a low bridge?

I knock ESL because of this.

Shocking :open_mouth:

Yes but you tell me do doctors/nurses have to go through the toughest training or being away from there families every single day even when not serving abroad!! No I don’t think so would they cope with saving lives while being shot at or would they cope with the stress and and all the physical things soldiers go through?? I agree everyone has an opinion but come on soldiers are heroes they are the ones who sign up to protect us on the out side would from people like them two sick twisted animals who did that to lee!! If our lads and women did not do what they do could you imagine our country right now why not save all the innocent men and women and send all the dirty scrounging bag heads and the low life’s of society like rapists or perverts or people who pray on young kids send them on the front line!!!

Hammy747:
Fair play to Stobarts

Although, how long before a mad Eddie spotter sacrifices their own child so they can have a truck named after them?

Go to Sherburn. The Mark Dixon saddos hang around the roundabouts to catch a glimpse of “Mr Gorgeous”

Only problem is, the sad ZedBees park their Nissan Micras and Reliants in the MIDDLE of the roundabouts, try and point out that they are a tad in the way, and they wave and take your picture.

Lost causes I’m afraid.

No this is shocking. Cleaners at ESL earn more than day drivers. HE HE!!!

this unfortunately is my thoughts too, yes if 100% genuine a great act and deservedly recognising someone of recognition. however I do believe by the fact this is on so many websites and no doubt will be in so many papers etc. it is nothing more than a PR effort which is a shame.

if its not I will hold my hand up and fair play to them but I don’t think this is as much as it seems (what about the 453 who died in afghan? why none of their names)?
