Haydock Lane, Haydock. Persistent issue.
HGVS parking on footway blocking use.
5 Traffic Offence Reports issued this morning. #MC21 Merseyside Traffic
Presumably all the murder and ■■■■ cases have been solved in Merseyside.
I can’t condone…
Parking like that but, I can understand the need for somewhere to park the night.
It really is about time industrial areas take responsibility for providing overnight facilities for lorries.

Mate of mine…
Is on the force down south, his reply to your stupid statement was always ‘yes, I caught a murderer this morning’.
Why should people be forced to walk in the road because of parking like this? Plod’s giving them a ticket and then probably off to catch a ■■■■■■ or hide behind a 30 mph sign.

Correct - there needs to be parking areas for trucks delivering into Industrial estates. New build industrial estates should be forced to provide secure overnight parking for trucks delivering into business on that estate the next day. Older estates could demolish an old empty unit to provide parking . Theres really no excuse for not providing overnight parking on or close to industrial estates .

Nobody is “forced” to walk in the road. There is ample room down the side to walk and even fit a wheelchair (the usual argument). In the rural area where I live there are barely any footpaths at all and where there are, they are so narrow as to be pointless yet everyone manages to go about their day just fine.
Those drivers have been caught bang to rights, there is no disputing that, but once again it’s a good example of the forces’ low-hanging fruit policing ways, dishing out tickets to ‘easy target’ sleeping drivers with no fear of confrontation or argument while high-level crime gets ignored under the excuse of “lack of resources”.
Can the mods…
Please crop the picture?
Ta.

No chance, Merseyside police couldn’t catch a cold unless it was handed to them on a plate.
Is that one of McDowell’s at the front?

Yeh…
You’re probably right and there may well be enough room to walk past them. Having said that, I reckon the pavement now stinks of wee, so I’d probably walk in the road anyway.
In all my years, I’ve never known a copper stop writing a ticket because of confrontation. If anything it makes them more determined to get the thing wedged under your wiper blade.

I would say Romac, presumably parked near Amazon
If only they were so ‘pro active’ against ■■■■■ fuel theft and so on. Limited resources my arse, heroes all.
I’m afraid I’m struggling to have any sympathy for the drivers here when they park like that on a pavement - especially for a night out.
I ain’t a fan if the Police,.and sure it’s easy target stuff…and there should be parking spaces on ind EST.
On the other hand, I’ve had numerous nights out over the years,.and can safely say I’ve never parked on a pavement full on like that,.and I wouldn’t either.
If I did I’d be expecting to get nicked, so they’ve only themselves to blame I reckon.
They might as well put a ■■■■ big old sign in the windscreen…‘‘Come and nick me’’.
Looks like the Merc driver has tried to leave a passage for pedestrians.
Right on the kerbstones.
Parking is becoming a big problem seems all new and some old ind estates all have double yellow lines now and the services are all rammed it’s getting ridiculous
Problem is so many tin pot haulage company’s about now that don’t pay parking so there parking anywhere, and a lot of them are their own worst enemy as they leave litter and ■■■■ everywhere that’s why there not welcome anywhere.
Who knows what the solution is ? Everybody wants there goods but not the trucks that bring it utter madness something is going to have to give soon
Seen some of the comments in this thread about the lack of parking overnight and I’m not disputing that, here however there evidently was parking space and room for them not to park like that.
Why the hell didnt they just park 50/50 on the road/pavement and it would have been problem solved and no ticket.

You will still get a ticket for 50/50 parking
They probably thought they were doing the right thing by keeping the road clear simples

You know this how? My suspicion is that the other side of the road had a long line of artics already parked up overnighting when they arrived so that was the only place available without blocking the road. These look like night trampers seeing as the curtains are closed in the daytime. The day trampers had probably already departed by the time the pig turned up.
Half on the pavement would have still incurred a ticket as it’s an absolute offence to park with wheels on a footpath.
Resident’s complaints?? On an industrial estate,
