Keep your door locked and your foot on the accelerator ready to push the car out of the way if it is a hijacker.
Just to put things in perspective, i’m aware of reports of numerous bogus unmarked ‘police’ vehicles stopping drivers with plain cars equipped with blue strobes from ebay. Obviously things like this aren’t always made public for fear of increasing the ‘fear of crime’, but considering how easy it is to do this compared to the effort required to ‘clone’ a marked VOSA vehicle you can bet your bottom dollar which avenue the crooks will go down. Sensible precautions as mentioned previously (stopping in a well lit populated area, keeping enging running, doors locked etc) will always be the best way to keep on your guard.

So acceptme what did Vosa say when you complained about there driver speeding
to be honest mate it was late at night and im not a grass so didnt think there was a point in complaining… Just thought that it wasnt right… wish id slowed down now too though and saw the end result but wanted to get home… Cheers for all the feedback and for the debates not gettin too out of hand
It would actually be quite simple to copy a VOSA car. All they need is a white or silver ford galaxy which will obviously be stolen. Everything else is simply stuck on graphics. The yellow/orange hi viz stickers can be easily purchased, along with a few squares of black vinyl for the sides. The wording and logos can all be cut from a cheap vinyl cutter/printer thing which can be bought for less than £150. Whack on a few orange lights and a top light bar which again can be easily purchased. It doesn’t need to be exact, because unless we see them together it would be impossible to spot the difference. These are organised criminals, making up a VOSA car would be childs play.
Add this to the fact that several VOSA uniforms where stolen a few months back which was reported in the CM. They will have absolutely no resale value so it is pretty obvious that they were stolen with the intent of imitating a VOSA officer. So not only will the car look like VOSA, they will be dressed like them to so you won’t know until they get into your cab.
You would need to be off your head to stop for VOSA nowadays. Sure if they are directing you into a weighbridge with plenty of activity, but never anywhere else. If you want to stay safe, sink the shoe and wait for the Police.
If you do stop and it is a hijacking, look on the bright side. They will probably treat you a lot better than the VOSA tossers would have done.
Vosa should purchase unique uniforms for their staff that thieves would not want to be seen in,
Perhaps Andy Pandy coveralls

At least it would make it fun to be stopped by Vosa
