Any more deliberate mistakes ?
.

A proper driver would know if the computer is lying.

No dipstick ? Not even when you tilt the cab ?
.

i was in stobarts in lutterworth 1 night loading. while on a bay i seen this fella walking towards a truck and he started to do his daily/nighty checks…well sweet mother of jaysus he checked and then he checked what all he checked…a grand total of about 20 mins (unit only)…he even checked or at least looked like he was checking the fuses…but quess what???he never once dipped it for oil of water…now when i started driving it was drummed into me to check oil and water no matter what hurry i was in…in fact slippy mcardle would the odd time remove the dip stick and wait for a driver to start the lorry and move it down the yard.he would come out and ask if u dipped that yoke for oil…oh jaysus i did boss…he would then turn around and ask how the hell did u dip it without the dip stick…so anyway at least when stobart drivers cooks a lorry at the side of a road they can be happy known that the have a spare fuse and all the nights work

VOSA’s remit is a safety one not vehicle longevity.

I didn’t say you shouldn’t check the oil, I’m explaining why VOSA rightly couldn’t care less.

I’d be more concerned about someone cooking a lorry on a
motorway - locking up solid with some ■■■■ right up his rear !

That must be why they checked the tax disc.
.
.

Using the hazard lights does not mean the indicators are working properly !

Unless dealing the the mind-blowingly stupid it generally goes without saying that government agencies are interested in law enforcement.

Only watched 4 minutes !! Then started to fall asleep !
(seen it before anyway)

Bet he didn’t check for the Cup Holder.
(most important item in the cab !)

Hi, i have only just passed my class 1 but just a question. if my truck had no dipstick and was computer monitored would i still have to tilt the cab to check oil ? :open_mouth:

No. Rely on the computer.

I think the dipstick under the cab is just for mechanics when
replacing the oil.

I think Renault Premiums are an example but I may be wrong. (again).

or HER :unamused:

Hazards are working that’s ok then means the bulbs work but it don’t mean the indicators are working properly as they run off 2 systems

Not allowed to check oil at my place.
