Iām 41 years old now so it was a while ago. I used to take 5-6 producers a while into the police station.
Incidentally Iāve been to the police station this afternoon and no one was in at all thatās Wales for you.

Sorry been a long day for me. I understand that you understand that i have understood your reply and that i look through a small window at Robk arguing with himself
mickyblue:
Robk stop with the jack the lad act. There not all like it
once a copper! always a copper!
Not really true is it Fatboy. Think about it, i am now a everyday person earning a crust. I have seen how the police works from the inside and i will express an opinion on things when people go on about something they havenāt got a clue about.
I am a true believer with what i am going to say, and i have heard it and seen it done before, when people say āI [zb] hate the police. I wonāt call them, i deal with it myself (Whilst pushing there little 6ā chest out)" 1 week later that said person is calling the police.
Thing i also like to state that most people on here have dealt with traffic officers, who are known not to have a personality, and deal with things by the book. I was a beat bobby who would talk to you with respect and treat you with respect as i feel respect is earned that way. if you come across a beat bobby you will notice the difference.
My advice is, when you are stopped by a traffic officer donāt give it large from the word go. Speak to them as you would towords your wife and things will go quite nicely. If you give it jack the lad act all the way through then your buggered. They will find something wrong on your truck and report you for it, simples.
So you start off by defending the police about how āby the bookā they are, then in your closing sentence youāre telling us that they are in fact a bunch of corrupt [zb]s as they āwill find something wrong and report you for itā just because they donāt like your tone of voice regardless of whether or not youāve committed some offence. Iām glad that you as a copper have finally confirmed what Iāve been saying for years.

Nope not confirming anything you miserable sod. To the point, and i will make it nice and simple for you. If you go in with your sort of attitude that you have to life and start mouthing off they will go over your vehicle with a fine tooth cone and find a problem, well you have just ā ā ā ā ā ā them off and gave them a reason to think your hiding something. At the end of the day if there is a fault with said vehicle, which can be an offence, and which you can be reported for, you will be dealt with.

From my experience of the welsh they would of been on one of many breaks

Once again youāve just reconfirmed what Iāve been saying. What āattitudeā one has should not ever come into it if they are doing their job properly (as we indirectly pay them to do for us through our taxes). Their job is to enforce the law, not peopleās attitudes. If I happen to dislike coppers and said that to their face in a perfectly reasonable manner (or any manner for that matter), then if I have not committed any offence I should be let on my way, not subjected to being gone on with a āfine tooth coneā (sic) ( ) and for them to ācreateā offences just to teach me a lesson for disliking them.
limeyphil:
I donāt wish to be offensive, But from the way youāve written it, If you spoke in the manner that you typed.
Using āwordsā like, Till, Anoylog, Sorted, Ant. Will not get you anywhere.
If you didnāt speak in the manner that youāve written it, Then itās full appologies from me.
The attitude test pays high dividends.
Robk please donāt try and twist what i say to āconfirmā you stupid thinking. I think you know what i am getting at but yet again your on trucknet trolling away in your own little world.

Its not a case of what āweā pay them to do its a case of talking to someone with respect.
rambo19:
Do it right, donāt give them a reason to detain you, simplesā¦
man with sense
Because of course we all know the police would never āfindā a reason to detain youā¦
Itās easy, donāt give them a reason at all and you wonāt be detained.
Mickyblue i fear that you are loooking at it thruough rose tinted spectacles. If you have ever chatted to an off duty traffic policeman without him knowing you are a lorry driver just ask his opinion of drivers and i think you will find they tar us all with the same brush and have a low opinion of us
