Rear lift -bonus!
Im a big scania fan. I had a 4 series topline 530 which i loved and went from that to a highline 420. I was disgusted. The storage was shocking in the highline although the driving position was good. I think the highline cab is a waste of time. Having said that though id rather push a highline than drive a volvo. The seat doesnt go back far enough, cab suspension is too soft, the top of the windscreen seems to follow you round the cab and the manual gearbox is just plain bad. People giving out about scanias 3 over 3 should remember that the volvo manual is also 3 over 3

Scanias are overated and have not got the storage space of a volvo. Scanias are ok if you dont do nights out or dont take much with you. I would stick with the volvo they are much nicerI’ve been living full time in a Scania for 4 and a half years and I dispute the no space opinion! I couldn’t even get all the stuff I’ve got in a Volvo! A Scania space wise is no match for a Super Space Cab or big MAN but more than a match for a Volvo with its silly sloping screen
each to there own i have driven most trucks including scanias and i prefer volvos out of all of them i drive a 61 reg 460 fh12 globetrotter at the moment 44ton unit. Auto. And that suits me fine.
driven both over the last few years .had a new p cab sleeper when they first came out on a 6x2 curtain sider loved it apart from lack of room around the clutch pedal then moved to tippers had another sleeper p cab 360 w reg 6x4 cracking truck
then had a new fm380 sleeper 06 with i shift nice box for motorway work but not great for muckaway work down in cornwall / devon ,didnt like the small side locker doors or lack of space under the bunk
terrible blind spot behind drivers mirror , couldnt stand up in pass footwell like in scania either. scania went better too
drive a cf daf at the moment
SCANIA, you wont be disapointed
5 years in a R cab. no complaints, enough room for week away. and i can even walk after being ‘crippled’ in scanny seats all day!
