at the mo im driving a 55 volvo xl and was wondering what are the hi liners like

the way ive never driven or been in a scania so ive no idea what to expect
+3
i was in a scania the other day an 11 plate & the previous week i’d been in an 11 plate volvo,no comparison, volvo ■■■■■■ all over the scanny for basic stuff in the cab,ie an arm rest when it’s an auto!! better interior cab lighting, better gear box etc, just felt a nicer palce to be in…
Fileep:
In the immortal words of Jezza Clarkson, there are 2 types of drivers, Scanis drivers & those who want to be Scania drivers
Maybe he was talking about the old days before the they turned into the Italian F1 Frankenstein bolted together in groovy Holland by stoned factory hands?
Volvo everytime!!
Lost my 58 xl last week and I’m now driving a 58 highliner till either,a new Volvo comes or I keep the Scania or get made redundant.
What a heap of junk the Scania is,opticruise seems to have the computer brain of a commodore vic 20 from the 80’s and it has to be the worst truck I’ve ever driven.
I did my apprenticeship with a Scania dealer and I’d have nothing said about them but I’ve now seen how much they’ve gone down.
My brother had a XL when he worked for Virginia, he was chuffed to bits when they swapped him to a Highline Scania. It’s just a much better truck. I dare say I’ll get shot down now by the hundreds of Scania haters.
ady1:
scania, corner like there on rails, volvos role too much, crap when you want to push on
And good god I agree with Ady. If you need to push on on twisty mountain roads, which I often do, then nothing comes close to a Scania. The most sure footed truck I’ve ever driven by miles

Scania all day everyday for me even in standard cab form can’t be doing with the rake of the windscreen on the Volvo also as above scanny’s handle miles better.
Heart in mouth job on the Fen roads with thr T/liner. One driver would only drive the flat top Scanni if he was going around there after rolling in the ditch with a T/L. top heavy.
