Heart in mouth job on the Fen roads with thr T/liner. One driver would only drive the flat top Scanni if he was going around there after rolling in the ditch with a T/L. top heavy.
Poxy Topline cab aint going to make a lorry roll into a ditch , nervous nigle driving
I hammer on down some quite hairy roads and a Topline is perfectly fine. Better than fine actually and better than most. Itâs not in the slightest bit top heavy.
if yer staying on the tarmac the scaniaâs a nice truck really goten used to my highline , BUT the bunks not as comfortable , the opticruise, isnât as good as the iâshift & itâs not half as grippy as the volvo

And Scania shares have just plummeted, almost like the bloke did in a Topline. It makes you wonder how we managed with those Ford Transcendentals and Renault 340 Turboliners

But they were not top heavy cabs.
The T/L is a schtonking truck compared to the old junk we used to drive but compared to the XL you have a badly designed cab with masses of wasted space. The T/L was designed by an Italian with Farrari on the brain from the outside & then the inside was an afterthought same as those White Road Commanders ,smooth on the outside -designed by redundant aircraft workers- & hoping the furniture would fit on the inside ( it didnât)
Its the same as what they did to Newcastle Brown AleâŚsort of.

How you managed in what way? You seem to be dropping old trucks into every topic at the moment, to the point your just randomly dropping them in for no reason, is everything ok?
Scanias are overated and have not got the storage space of a volvo. Scanias are ok if you dont do nights out or dont take much with you. I would stick with the volvo they are much nicer

Iâve been living full time in a Scania for 4 and a half years and I dispute the no space opinion! I couldnât even get all the stuff Iâve got in a Volvo! A Scania space wise is no match for a Super Space Cab or big MAN but more than a match for a Volvo with its silly sloping screen

I remember when I started I had a DAF 2100 I drove that across the Fen , however I did manage âŚ

I canât get comfy in the seat or the bunk of the Scania, so itâd have to be the Volvo for me everytime too.
Also, the windscreen is so far away on a Scumia, if you use a sat nav and stick it on the window, you canât reach the bloody thing - I also use my as my handsfree and nobody can hear me due to it being so far away and the noise of the damned truck.
Itâs that bad, I prefer my Daf CF over a Scumia, and thatâs some statement
Looking on the photos part of this forum the intrest in Scania lorries is massive compared to other makes in terms of view count. Scania beautys 26500 views, Volvo beautys 4000.
