And notice how the camera vehicle moves over also, at half the rate as the rigid, so it remains in the centre point of the lorries thus giving the illusion that they’re both moving out simultaneously :wink:

And those lines painted on the ground are clearly reference lines.

Whilst this stunt is impressive, my view differs from that of the OP - the more I watch it, the less impressed I am as the video trickery slowly reveals itself :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree, but as an advertising stunt its certainly impressive and has worked, though I cant see my Mrs letting me buy one :laughing: Still fighting to get an Audi I have my eye on and doing the splits will lessen my chances :laughing:

Perfect control without strain.

That’s Volvo’s blurb about reversing with this steering system.

Sounds to me like a bit like the old Citroen DIRAVI steering from over 40 years ago, which is a bit marmite.

Real or fake* it’s worked, I’m seeing this all over shared links on Facebook, all from non truck driving friends. Genius bit of marketing in my opinion.

*Im inclined to think its mostly real. They came out and said so very clearly and yes, they may be lying, but, the damage it would do if it came out they were lying would outweigh the positive. In my humble opinion.

It happened to me, i was standing between 2 trucks with a foot on each step talking to a driver when the other truck drove off and ive now got John Wayneitis !! :stuck_out_tongue:
