There is a lot of rubbish on the web, on you tube and all that lot. If you don’t like it or think it’s a waste then just move on, rather than propagating it

He’s not a wannabe truck driver. Irritating…meh different strokes for different folks so I can’t comment on that. His name is Nerd Cubed, and he has an entire series of him playing random games, normally simulators as that’s what he seems to like.
I watched the video a couple of weeks back and I found it rather amusing, but then I am also a gamer. What’s equally amusing to me is that this “geek” has probably made more money over the past year than any truck driver has, just for submitting videos to youtube and having a fanbase. Of course he’s nowhere near KSI level.
I may be coming across as defensive, simply because I detected a degree of “ere lads, we’re manly manly men, lets all have a laugh at this sad virgin geek who likes to pretend he’s a trucker on the 'pooter” simply because a guys hobby, and now his source of income, is gaming.
For humour more along the lines of the knuckledraggers, look up SopranoPictures and his videos where he rings up Babestation pretending to be mentally retarded or trolling the chavs on fifa doing the same schtick. Anyway, I’m going off point. The video is worth a watch if you’ve got 90 minutes to kill and you want to see a guy who can’t even drive a car make his way from Scotland to Germany then on to Bratislava on a simulator. If you can get past the fact he sounds like the lad from the Inbetweeners, you may get some amusement from it. I’d warn off the majority of people on this site though, as most of you will not get any enjoyment from it. There’s little point bashing a person due to either the lifestyle they lead, or the passtimes they find enjoyable though.
Seen a couple of his videos before. It tends to just be reviews, but can be amusing to watch. He probably makes a fair bit from it.
Why would you pick a premium though?
Looks thoroughly unrealistic. No frilly curtains, no bullfighting spears, no dream catcher …
I watched about 10 minutes, I liked it, thought he was really funny. Like the other chap said you can belittle him all you like but he’s earning more tan us by doing that!
sorry, how does he earn money by gaming?? Does he have subscribers that actually pay to watch his uploaded videos? How does it work? Seems a pretty cushty source of income.
He gets paid by bringing people to the site, and the ads that get shown right before each video. Might also get some from the developers of the games he plays for the publicity.

Advertising. He gets a (small) kickback every time someone clicks through to an advert while watching his videos.
Youtube put ads on your uploaded vids if you get over a certain amount of hits.
You get a % of it.
Like others have said he makes money by monetizing his YouTube videos. It’s not easy because you need big number like him to do well out of it. I’ve just started monetizing mine which is why they don’t have music any longer, you have to be very careful what you can and can’t do. My numbers are tiny compared to his but made a tidy sum in my first month which is going towards a new camera
Just been “playing” this game, its rather good actually.
Most of the people on here are ‘Wanna be truck drivers’ I was once, otherwise I would not have started doing it… I am not now however, I am a wanna be ‘Sitting on my ■■■ doing nothing but watching TV or going down the pub driver’ now.
XboxAhoy did a much more concise review of the same game (as a joke) a couple of weeks ago.
I thought it looked great. Nobody seems to mind Aircraft Simulators or Racing games. Games like this give a positive insight about transport to the general public, in what way, is that a bad thing?
