So it bloody should be-nice to see it commemorated.

It should be an extra day not have a bank holiday moved to celebrate it

Maybe should only be awarded to and accepted by genuine patriots, those who accept the various annual bank holidays intended to celebrate important events wouldn’t be hypocrits would they.

Interesting idea!
Easter only for those who attend church regularly?
Christmas for both Christians and Pagans?
New Year only for Scottish passport holders, and alcoholic party animals?
Would a pantheist qualify for all religious holidays, or none?

Be interesting to see how many who currently are anything from ambivalent to positively nasty to Christians and have no trouble accepting free holidays would change their tune if those hols depended on adherence or at least had the good grace to STFU with their never ending abuse.

There could be lots of other holidays given to people who have been discriminated against for years, ie non smokers who over the years have worked thousands more hours than smokers who take regular smoke breaks, then there’s the union members who do their bit to gain better terms and conditions whilst the non union members pocket all the benefits and take the ■■■■ out of the sick scheme to boot.

I like this idea, it has legs.

It is in Europe

November 5th To celebrate Guy Fawkes
January 31st to commemorate Brexit Day
March 8th to remember my birthday

All should be new bank holidays…well forget the last one…but you may add to the list.

You are not allowed to point out that anymore. I hope no one mentions that Brexit has now cost us more than all our contributions since we joined…
