HI Rod. I have another pi of the Routemans that Websters had. If I find it I’ll post it.

Have you any old pics yourself of lorries from your neck of the woods? Always good to see the old 'uns. :sunglasses:

Bonkey, you are spoiling us mate - keep 'em coming !

Mr Websters Routeman driver… how did you end up with a Y reg Routeman, when Constructors came out on V/W reg? – just born lucky?!

Only just spotted this thread! A few familiar trucks there, one of our ex Tilcon driver’s Fodens (D. Bond, 007) who I am certain Wirksworth Rod will know well enough. Good pics of Ashbourne lorry park, I wonder where the Tilcon pics were taken as none of them are from the Central area? Never seen many pics of Bill Wood’s lorries before either.

Pete.

Excellent pics gotta love the DIESEL the badge on the front of the MAN.

Just come across this thread so here’s some 8-wheelers from my collection. regards prattman.

Some more 8-wheelers from my collection, Salkeld Brothers from Rowley Castleside very much into Foden trucks in their heyday these photo’s were taken in the late 60’s early 70’s and one of owner operator Tommy Spresser running in Raisby Quarries colours.regards prattman.

Nice pictures…that first Thornhill reefer (night shot) is that a Scammell with a sleeper? I have never seen that before.

Once again,great stuff BD.
I remember all of the Derbyshire operators and some of the others as well.
Wheildons used to run buses in the 40’s and 50’s round the Loughborough area.
You’ve certainly brought a few memories back.
