hi all, in the new year im starting a job driving a van to and from europe France, Spain, Holland all the usual places and possibly Turkey. What are the do’s and don’ts ? and whats the best sat nav about at the mo ? also anyone a internet dongle over the water? cheers for the help
I van all over. CMR, ,LICENCE ,INSURANCE, PERMISSION TO DRIVE ETC…Watch the speeds and enjoy.
Free parking all over showers generally clean. Don’t ■■■■ plod off.
Don’t forget the red bull!! I’m sitting on the shuttle waiting to leave, pickup Plzen tommorow morning, deliver Dublin Saturday , love it!!!
Don’t forget your fire extinguisher, warning triangle, hi-viz first aid kit, spare bulbs too!

If your vehicle is between 2.8 and 3.5 tonnes and your route takes you to or through Germany you need to keep a log book for the entire journey in one of the old AETR style log books.

Hotel for me, the best thing was in the morning when it came to confirm the collection, the woman responsible had gone off on holiday without leaving any details, so was told to come back and go again when they sort it 
Some customers have more money than sense

It depends on the job, but this customer are happy to pay all expenses 
so it would be rude not to stay in a hotel.

I’m back home as of yesterday, when it came to confirming the collection yesterday morning the girl organising it had gone on 3 days holiday, and no one else new about it so the job was canceled and told to come back and back out again when they have sorted it
Someone will be in for a bollocking when they return from holiday

This was the fourth time this year the customer have had a job from the Czech Republic, but the first time its gone ■■■■ up like this.
