Will post more tommorow fellas but basically I have told him to poke it not being treated like that…made a few calls start new Job tommorow Morn…if I ever get home!lol
Are they expecting you to work whilst it’s being fixed? If you stayed with it surely they’d have to pay you to do bugger all, you’d think they would pay to get you home and then find you something to do.
I think that says a great deal about your employer. I understand you might not want to slag them off publicly but I seem to recall you were on for Task Force at Witham. If you’ve moved on you’d best say otherwise they’ll get a bad name.

Good on ya mate, right stroke of luck sorting out a job that quick
It just goes to show you the standard of some “employers” (i use the term loosely!) there are out there.
Is this really the UK or some third world country?
Tossers.
I think the employer should be named and shamed, someone else may get the same treatment, if the truck has broken down then I feel he has a responsibility to look after the driver or to reimburse him if he has asked him to make his way home.
If however the driver has damaged something through neglect he may be feeling a bit miffed and will probably calm down. If it was me though I may have been on National Express first thing.
Unfortunatly this is not uncommon for drivers to make their own way home,my brother broke down in moreton in the wirral, at about 10.00, he got back to newark at 22.30 having started at 04.00 it made for a long day.
He caught a train to liverpool then to york and finally to newark and a taxi to the yard, all refunded by the company but a pain in the neck.
2 days later went back with another driver to pick up his truck
