Ungrateful idiot

Juddian:
so a sense of hunour is essential to stop you doing a Michael Douglas in that there film he did the name of which escapes me cos me memory’s shot to buggery, ■■■■■■■■.

Falling down I believe: imdb.com/title/tt0106856/?re … lmg_act_31

Falling Down, Juddian.1993.

All the man wanted was a bloody breakfast and was bang on the time limit for it.

Don’t blame him for his actions. Nowt worse than being Hungry.

EDIT; Coolrider’s best mate beat me to it.

Thankyou young chaps, thats the one.

Times i’ve felt like doing just that.

eagerbeaver:
Rob. My point about lack of PAS was the following.

If it wasn’t available to us today, the drivers nowadays would be just as good as yesteryear. Obviously not having power steering would make the task harder, but you lot managed it ok, so why wouldn’t we?

It’s similar to all the ■■■■■■■■ about sat nav’s. Bridge strikes still happened years ago. Driver’s still made mistakes with A-Z’s etc.

Albion constantly makes out that he is the ■■■■■■■■. When in fact, he simply talks it. But you ARE correct about one thing.

BEEZLE IS A ■■■■,LOL!!

Hey beaver there’s pas and power ,pas is a ram to help ,power is in the box no ram ,then theres stuff with non what so ever !

Cheers Dan. So ’ power steering ’ is not the same as ’ power ASSISTED steering ’ ?

See…every day you can learn something!!

When you post something a public forum it’s got something to do with everyone.

Sounds like I’ve touched some nerves here

Really? So your comment about forgetting more than I’ve yet to learn, isn’t a derogatory comment to Newbies then?
Gives you the right to talk down to people does it? :unamused:

And you’ll have to try an awful lot harder to annoy me, as at the moment your ineptitude amuses me!

NO Not newbies in general just you.
I’ve no problem with newbies at all and have helped many over the years. However you seem to have this opinion, the way you come across on here anyway, off being a cut above and when someone tells you exactly what they think off you you become very defensive.

I don’t get into any arguments on social media and I’m not saying anything on here I would not say to your face, probably more to you face to be fair!

I’ve said my peace its my opinion and I certainly won’t be changing it. In fact Your responses have just reinforced what I already thought!

How have I become defensive? It’s simply a case of you attempting to try and antagonize me, and me repaying the compliment…
Plus if you don’t like to argue on social media, then why start one? You instigated this…

I didn’t write my comments on here to argue or antagonise you. They’ve also got nothing to do with my sense of humour.

I wrote them because I think you come across on here as a complete kn#b!

In my world a spade is a spade and it’s as simple as that really.

No arguments from me at all, it’s my opinion.

So your post was intended to offend me then?
And you chose to post it why?

Basically you were trying to pick a fight with me…

Juddian:
However in those days, which arn’t so long ago, there was a cameraderie which has all but vanished, so somewhere which was a pig to get in if there was another driver there he or she would help guide you in.
:

Exactly!
. Last Friday looking forward to my fortnightly cooked brekkie, heading for the Cafe at Honiton in the picnic area, (…incidentally a bloody good sit down cafe, hot breakfast served by hot women  )

Pulled in, somebody had parked longways at the back preventing me from driving in, was not going to let a tight reverse stand between me and my breakfast :smiling_imp: .

There is a public toilet building on the left with a railing barrier sticking out. I got positioned and started to try and swing around an AA breakdown motor’s nearside mirror (driver sat in cab but STILL did not pull his mirror in for me :unamused: ) and avoid the metal railing. My n/s curtain touching AA boyo’s mirror, my nearside step millimetres off the railing, and a DAF parked on other side of space to AA truck.
Got out a total of 5 times to check, noticed 3 drivers sat on their sorry arses watching me :unamused: , none of the feckless basts got out…, I’ve seen the day when all 3 would have got out at the first opportunity.

An old guy in a car watched me off the DAF, I got out thanked him and killed the other3 tossers with a filthy look shaking my head…Truckers? I’ve ■■■■ sh them :smiling_imp:

3 of 'em too :unamused:

That camaraderie, do you think it’s recoverable? or are drivers going to be increasingly insular as time goes by, how much worse can it get.

Think our age group will continue it. I have noticed it rubbing off to some extent to a lot of newer and younger lads. Thankfully there are still a lot of real drivers of all generations, but unfortunately it is only the toss pots that stand out, as in my example on Fri.
Not kidding myself that it will return as it was though, the rot set in when the in town truck parks shut down, and a lot of drivers (not me guv  ) resorted to lay bys, so most drivers do not socialise anymore.
I parked up next to this kid the other week, asked him if he fancied a pint (as we all used to) he looked at me alarmed as if I was intent on shaging him :unamused:

btw. he wasn’t my type anyway, too skinny.

" Cant be arsed " Juddian, is the phrase that I believe describes a lot of people (and their attitude).

We have become a remarkably selfish and irresponsible society. In Rob’s example, all it required was just ONE driver to lend a hand.

I for one would have been out like a shot.

I’ve noticed it with some of the younger lads too, not as i meet that many cos i don’t frequent too many picnic areas with loos… :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: but each to their own   and there’s not that many on the tanks nor on the cars either.

There do seem to be some good lads about who want to be lorry drivers and are prepared to learn, hopefully a sign of things to come.

 Pleased I mentioned the ‘hot women in the cafe’ or my reputation would have turned to ■■■■ in one post.

■■■ ell that worked well. A little wind up has caused quite a stir it seems and I thought these youngsters had a sense of humour.

EB, I don’t think I am superior… I know I am.

PS It always amazes me how some think they know someone through an internet forum. Different world these days. :unamused:

Dear Rob, When will I see you again ? Talking of tearing the closet door off it’s hinges, I wish I could have met you down Honiton way.

But you buy the breakfasts I’ll ogle the women. :sunglasses:
